The Wave Personal Gym - Is It Better Than The T-Bow?

I’ve had a T-Bow for a while. In fact, I’ve got 16 of them! They are stacked in the garage and are forever in my way when I want to get into the freezer. Every six weeks or so, I haul them all to class and teach Pilates using them. They are absolutely great! Not only that, I also do my home exercise on a T-Bow - it takes up little space in the house, can be set up in the blink of an eye and is stacked neatly against the wall when I’ve finished my workout.

Now the T-Bow has a rival - drum roll please - the Firms Wave has arrived!

The Wave is much like the T-Bow in many respects although it does have a slightly different shape. The T-Bow is made in Switzerland and the Wave is produced in the USA.

What are the differences between the Wave and T-Bow?

1. The T-Bow is a single, curved piece of heavy duty plastic, the WAVE is braced to give it strength. They are similar in size and shape, with the T- Bow being slightly less bulky and slightly easier to handle and carry. The T-Bow will stack with others, and the WAVE won’t - however this is not a problem unless you need to store a lot of them.

2. There is one hell of a price difference! The WAVE costs just under $100, the T - Bow twice that. And it’s quite difficult to get hold of a T - Bow at present in the US.

3. The T-Bow doesn’t include much in the way of extras, a booklet explaining the exercises and a wall chart. The Wave on the other hand comes with lots of extras, a wall chart and DVD’s showing you how to use the Wave, various workouts you can do on the Wave - including strength training, cardio fat-burning and a healthy eating guide.

4. The Wave and T-Bow can both be used with elastic exercise bands although neither comes supplied with any. This is not a problem as they only cost a few dollars and are readily available. Don’t buy specialised bands as they are not necessary.

As pieces of home exercise equipment I think they are both fantastic and if used will help you to lose fat and tone muscle. My vote would have to go to the Wave, although I prefer the T-Bow it’s additional cost for the average home user isn’t really justified.
